Data Protection Statement
Thank you for your interest in our website. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We explain in detail below how we use your data.

Saving access data in server log files
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. We only save access data, such as the name of the file requested, date and time of retrieval, quantity of data transferred and requesting provider, in files called ‘server log files’. This data is only used to ensure that our site runs smoothly and to improve our services. It does not enable us to draw any conclusions about your identity.

Collection and use of data for performing the contract and for opening a customer account
We collect personal data if you voluntarily send it to us when you place your order, contact us (e.g. using the contact form or by email) or when you open a customer account. Each submission form shows what data will be collected. We use the data you send us to perform the contract and to process your requests. Once the contract has been performed in full or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked to prevent further use and deleted following expiry of retention periods under commercial and tax law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or unless we reserve the right to further use of your data that is permitted by law and about which we will provide information below. You can delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact details below or using the function provided for this purpose in your customer account.

Identity and credit checks when choosing Billpay payment methods
If you choose one of the payment options available from our partner Billpay GmbH, you will be asked to consent to transfer to Billpay data necessary for processing the payment and conducting an identity and credit check, during the order process. If you give your consent, your data (name and surname, house number, street, county, postcode, date of birth, telephone number and account details provided, if paying by direct debit), as well as data relating to your order, will be sent to Billpay. For the purposes of its own identity and credit checks, Billpay, or partner firms instructed by Billpay, send data to credit reference agencies, from which it obtains information, including credit information, if applicable, based on mathematic and statistical processes, the calculation of which uses address details, for example. More detailed information about this and the credit reference agencies used can be found in the data protection rules of Billpay GmbH. Furthermore, Billpay may use third-party assistance, if necessary, to expose and prevent fraud. Data obtained by third-party assistance may be encoded and stored with third parties, if necessary, so that it can only be read by Billpay. This data will only be used if you choose one of Billpay’s payment methods, otherwise it will automatically expire after 30 minutes. You can withdraw any consent to a credit check given when selecting the Billpay payment method, at any time, with effect for the future.

Data transfer for performing the contract
In order to perform the contract, we pass on your data to the shipping company instructed with delivery, if this is required for delivery of the goods ordered. We pass on payment data required for processing payments to the bank instructed with payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers instructed by us, or to the payment service you have chosen during the order process.

When you sign up for our newsletter, we use the data required for this or data that you have provided separately, to regularly send your our newsletter. Some of the cookies we use are deleted again when the browser session ends, i.e. after you close your browser (‘session cookies’). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies). You can adjust your browser’s settings to tell you when cookies are used, so that you can decide whether to accept them or to refuse them in certain cases or in general. Use of Google Analytics for web analysis
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. Information provided by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved. However, if IP anonymization has been activated on this website, Google will first abbreviate your IP address within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting States to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved. IP anonymization has been activated on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to analyse and evaluate your use of the website, in order to compile reports about website activities and to provide additional services associated with use of the website and internet use, for the website operator. The IP address sent from your browser for Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. You can prevent cookies from being stored by making the relevant settings in your browser software. However, this means that you might not be able to make full use of all of the functions of this website.
